Welcome to Off Grid. By accessing our website, registering for events, subscribing to communications, or otherwise participating in our community, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
Off Grid is a queer wellness community that organizes gatherings, events, and programming designed to foster connection, well-being, and personal growth. Our mission is to create inclusive spaces where people can thrive differently.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in Off Grid events and services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Off Grid is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all community members. By participating, you agree to treat all members, organizers, and partners with respect and dignity, not engage in harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior, respect the privacy of fellow community members (including not sharing others' personal information or images without consent), follow the specific guidelines and codes of conduct posted for individual events, and report any concerns about safety or conduct to our team.
We reserve the right to remove any individual from our events or community who violates these standards, without refund.
Event registration is managed through Luma. By registering for an event, you agree to Luma's terms of service in addition to these Terms. Event details including dates, times, locations, and programming are subject to change. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered attendees of material changes. Some events may have limited capacity, and registration does not guarantee a spot until confirmed.
Certain Off Grid events or offerings may require payment. All payments are processed through third-party payment processors. Refund policies will be specified for each event at the time of registration. Unless otherwise stated, refund requests must be submitted at least 7 days before the event date. We reserve the right to cancel events and will provide full refunds in such cases.
Email (Mailchimp): By subscribing to our email list, you consent to receive newsletters, event announcements, and community updates from Off Grid via Mailchimp. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
Text Messages (SimpleTexting): By opting in to SMS communications, you consent to receive text messages from Off Grid via SimpleTexting, including event reminders, community updates, and promotional messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance. Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Event Communications (Luma): By registering for events through Luma, you may receive event-related emails and notifications through the Luma platform. These communications are governed by Luma's terms of service.
All content on our website and in our communications — including text, graphics, logos, images, and the Off Grid name and brand — is the property of Off Grid or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
Off Grid events may be photographed or recorded for community and promotional purposes. By attending an event, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs or recordings. If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify our team at the event, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. We will never use images in a way that identifies individuals in connection with sensitive personal information without explicit consent.
Some Off Grid events may involve physical activities, outdoor settings, or other situations that carry inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume these risks. You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by event organizers and to notify us of any medical conditions or accessibility needs in advance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Off Grid, its organizers, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in our community or events. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific event or service giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Off Grid and its organizers, partners, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, participation in events, or use of our services.
Our community relies on third-party platforms including Mailchimp, SimpleTexting, and Luma. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued participation in our community after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
